Blue Ridge Mountain EMC Welcomes Sharon Kyser to Its Management Team

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Blue Ridge Mountain EMC (BRMEMC) is pleased to announce that Sharon Kyser will be joining the senior management team at BRMEMC mid-June as the new director of member services.

Kyser will bring many years of communications and customer service experience to the Co-op. She previously worked as the communications and customer service manager for Newport Utilities in Newport, Tennessee for six years. As part of her experience she had the pleasure of managing the customer service team while leading broadband commercial and retail sales teams to achieve established goals. Before that, Kyser spent seven years working for BVU Authority in Bristol, Virginia.

Kyser holds a bachelor of science in marketing, a master of business administration, and a master of arts in organizational leadership.

“I look forward in getting to know a new team and the opportunities that come along with that. There’s much to learn about BRMEMC’s system, but the rural territory is very similar to the area Newport Utilities serves,” said Kyser. “I’m familiar with the area because I have family living in Hayesville, but I’m excited to explore the area more thoroughly and get to know the people. Community outreach is something I am really looking forward to.”

“Sharon brings many years of experience in customer service and communications to the BRMEMC community. I look forward to working with her as she brings her perspective and talents to our organization,” said General Manager Allan Glidewell. “I’m positive she will enhance the great work and service we provide to the membership.”

Kyser will take the position of director of member services on Monday, June 19.
