Annual Meeting
This is your Official Notice of the Annual Meeting of Members of Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation. The meeting will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008, in the Music Hall of the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee, Georgia.
There are three members of the Board of Directors whose terms expire with the meeting this year. The Nominating Committee has nominated the following members for a three-year term.
Even though all Directors are running unopposed, the ballot is still important, as it is required by our bylaws. (Under the by-laws, no nominations may be made from the floor.) Members must choose a Director for EACH County.

Registration will be held at the Anderson Music Hall at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds beginning at 8:00 a.m. and will close promptly at 11:00 a.m.

Ronda Rich, Southern Storyteller, will be our main entertainment. Ronda Rich is the best-selling author of What Southern Women Know (That Every Woman Should), a book that is now in its 25th printing after being bought by a major New York publishing company during a four-day auction.

The Smokie Mountain Melodies Chorus will be providing our musical entertainment beginning at 9:15 a.m. The chorus was formed in September, 2004, by a handful of ladies who had an interest in Barbershop music. The group has grown significantly since then. They are members of Sweet Adelines International. The chorus hopes you will join them Saturday, September 13 at the Annual Meeting for some great fun.
