Blue
Ridge Mountain EMC and TVA are pleased to offer the energy right® Residential Program. The energy right® Program is grounded in a desire to
deliver the very best to each of our customers; Savings, Value,
Comfort, and Quality. If the home is built to meet the energy right® requirements, the homeowner may receive a $300 rebate on a 40 gallon or greater Maraton Water Heater bought from Blue Ridge Mountain EMC. You may also build to Energy Right specifications, but choose not to install a Marathon Water Heater. If you install a standard electric water heater, pending inspection, you may still be eligible for a rebate of $150 on a 30 gallon or greater.
The mechanical inspection and
rating of the home will be scheduled when the house is completed and permanent
power has been installed. The home is applicable for the program up to one
year from date of permanent power. The heat pump must be installed by
TVA and BRMEMC's program standards. We have a Quality
Contractor Network for your convenience.

In Comfort -
homes are well insulated and are equipped with efficient heating and cooling
systems that have been installed with attention to details and keep air
infiltration (leakage) to a minimum.
In Quality - trained new home inspectors
work with the builder to help assure construction meets program guidelines.
In Value - the energy right® symbol equates with lasting value. The documented energy efficiency of new homes
built energy right means value to you now and can also represent value to you
and any subsequent buyer should you sell your home.
In Energy Savings - Home Energy Ratings
Systems software is used to evaluate the efficiency of your home's final

efficiency of homes based on a rating scale of 0 to 100 points.

Contractor Listing
We no longer require a customer to use a member of the Quality Contractor Network (QNC) for heat pump installation but do recommend them as they are more familiar with our standards and requirements. If the contractor used is not a QCN member, they still must install the heat pump to BRMEMC standards.
