What is Project SHARE?

   Occasionally, emergencies arise where citizens have a hard time acquiring food, shelter, clothing, medical supplies or even paying their utility bills. But thanks to programs such as Project SHARE, help is available for those truly in need. Since its inception in 1985, Project SHARE has collected donations customers make when they pay their electric bills. Money collected stays in the county from which it originates, so your dollars go to work right in your own back yard - truly neighbors helping neighbors!

   If you would like to join this worthy cause, simply check the appropriate box above for the amount you wish to donate, sign your name in the space indicated and return the coupon to Blue Ridge Mountain EMC with your bill payment. Once you enroll, your designated contribution will be added to your electric bill and remain there until you notify us you want to discontinue the program. For tax benefits, your monthly gift will be disclosed as a separate line item on your bill.
