In Home Energy Evaluation

Blue Ridge Mountain EMC is participating in a new program focusing on residential energy and weatherization improvements. The goal of this program is reduce TVA’s system wide usage by 1400 Megawatts or the equivalent of a new nuclear reactor. The In Home Energy Evaluation (IHEE) will focus on the entire home from efficiency to health and safety.

Here’s how it works:
  • Call (706) 379-3121 (GA) or (828) 837-1017 (NC) ask for Jason Smith (ext 135) or Darrin Ingram (ext 151).
  • We will evaluate your home and create a report outlining potential energy efficiency modifications and cash incentives.
  • The evaluation must be performed before any work is done to qualify for a rebate!
  • Improvements must be performed by a member of our Weatherization Quality Contractor Network (QCN). Some measures may be self installed with prior approval from your energy evaluator.
  • Certain improvements may qualify for financing through Blue Ridge Mountain EMC.
  • All home modifications must be made within 90 days of the evaluation to qualify for cash incentives. Once the work is completed, it will be inspected to ensure program requirements are met and to maximize energy savings.

    • $150 – up to 4000 sq. ft.
